The new Ti Tree is located at 34a Balaka Street, Rosebud West, and collocated with The Village Glen - Australia’s largest independent living retirement village. The entire Village Glen – Ti Tree campus sits on a 52 hectare site (125 acres) and comprises a community of approximately 1,200 people, a community larger than many country towns.
We have been planning the Ti Tree ageing in place “state of the art“ residential facility since 2010. The design journey commenced with a tour of Australia to determine what is best practice. We are confident that Ti Tree will be seen by our clients, our staff and our colleagues as the new benchmark in residential care for our older Australians.
We provide residents (guests as we call them) the very best of care, accommodation and entertainment. Our aim is to be known as a center of excellence and, with this in mind, we have appointed Damien Malone as our Operations Manager. Damien has a wealth of experience in aged care and under his guidance and tutelage the care of frail ageing Victorians who choose to join us at Ti Tree is assured.
The new Ti Tree has been cleverly designed and built on what we are calling “The Hotel Model”. What this means for you and your family member is that they will be treated like guests in their own home. The hosts will be responsible to provide our guests with the very best of service. We have employed an executive chef with international hotel experience, as we recognise the importance that quality and freshness of food has to our guests.
Our hosts, both hotel and clinical will be trained on the best principles of hospitality. It is our view that our guests, after a lifetime of serving our country and their families, have earnt the right to be spoilt and our mission is to spoil them.
As you drive through the landscaped gardens you will be impressed by the ultramodern architectural presence of the building. And it gets better . . . . . park your car and as you enter the building you will notice that Ti Tree bears no resemblance to any care facility you’ve ever seen.
Permit us to take you walk you through Ti Tree.
Enter the front doors into the spacious foyer; it is more like a retail precinct with a grand reception on your left. Look right to “The Ti Tree Café” where guests and their visitors can enjoy the best of coffee, light lunches, cakes and muffins. Continue past the café to the sales and marketing suite, then onto physiotherapy and health centre. Look opposite and you with see the beauty and wellness salon, where you can enjoy massages and those finer things that ladies have enjoyed for all of their adult lives.
Turnaround from whence you came past the café and reception, under the grand stairway (featuring the magnificent water feature), past one of the 5 passenger lifts to the hair and beauty salon, the library internet café and the Chapel.
Continue on past one of the 19 occasional lounges provided for quiet reflection or catching up with friends and family, to one of the 6 intimate dining rooms. From here left or right will take you to guests’ rooms featuring luxury private en-suite bathrooms, flat screen wall mounted television, picture view windows overlooking the beautifully landscaped gardens.
As you continue along the spacious hallways you cannot help but be impressed by the quality of the building and the fit-out, including the purpose built furniture, the lifestyle lounges where the myriad of lifestyle and entertainment programs will be undertaken.
Continue on past another collection of private guests’ rooms linking to the ground floor master function and dining room, incorporating one of two cinemas. (This is replicated on the first floor)
Link back to the reception past the internal courtyards and private dining rooms which are available to all guests for those special occasions with family and friends.
All of this is of course replicated on the first floor, with an additional feature being the “Club Ti Tree Lounge” which contains Foxtel TV with all sports channels, a bar for those “happy hours”, a billiard table and other recreational activities.
From the rear of the building wander the covered link way to Whitehall and Regent wings which provide an intimate residential experience for 64 residents in our recently renovated building. Offering a secure, modern and intimate living environment which emulates the standards Ti Tree is renowned for, these units provide an alternate range of accommodation.
Ti Tree has 224 resident suites 19 of which are capable of housing two people for those who chose to share. Each suite has a private luxury bathroom.
Ti Tree will also cater for the needs of 26 guests in a secure dementia wing, which in addition will have a Day Center specifically designed to give local independent people who are carers a “day off”.
